Jessica Hill; The weird and the wonderful
Messy, real, strange and colourful, just like me.
I like to work from imagination and autobiographical. Each mark, symbol, pattern, letter, word means something to me or something I’ve gathered from life. Like an inside joke with myself.
The skull has become somewhat of a trademark in my work. Kind of like a signature.
I am inspired by personal experiences, usually experiences people can relate to which result in my work to be quite humorous.
I like to work with bright colours, particularly sunset tones and floral colours.
PAINTING, PRINTING, DRAWING, DIGITAL, SCULPTURE.
When working in sketchbooks, oil pastels is a must material.
